Hi, I’m Kathleen

Burnout taught me how to choose myself, and now I'm here to help you do the same.

My Story

For decades, I lived by the unspoken rule: always do what is expected of me. I achieved, excelled, helped, and held everything together... until burnout stopped me in my tracks.

Motherhood made what was whispering inside me impossible to ignore. I couldn’t keep living on expectations. I couldn’t keep doing what I thought I should do. Something had to change.

My turning point:

When I returned to my 12-year corporate career after maternity leave, I slowly realized that I could no longer do everything “right.” I was too exhausted. Too burnt out to even realize what it was I actually needed.

So, I took a medical leave from work. In the stillness that followed, I listened inward. I felt the discomfort. Slowed my pace. Started making small shifts to feel more at ease. Noticed what actually nourished me.

Those small moments started to add up. Until… for the first time in a long time, I chose myself. And I found my way back to energy and clarity.

Clarity of what I’m really meant to do in this chapter of my life. How I’m meant to live. And that involved the bold decision to leave my career.

It might not make sense to other people, but it was the most confident & calm decision I’ve ever made.

Why I do this work

I realized how many others are living the same story: deeply capable... and deeply exhausted.

Some know they have a tendency to people-please. To over-achieve. To aim for perfection.

Some call themselves highly sensitive. Many don’t. Most don’t know the term exists, and that’s okay. What matters is the experience, not the label.

You deserve to live a life that feels true to you. And now I know that I’m meant to help deeply feeling souls come through burnout with meaning. It’s what’s fueling this next chapter of my life, and I can’t wait to help you, too.

How I can support you

As a Professional Practitioner for Highly Sensitive People, I use my strength of empowering others to grow into themselves and my lived experience of recovering from burnout to guide you to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

My work is rooted in softness, presence, and truth.

I work from 3 main beliefs:

  1. The world needs more compassion.

  2. Burnout happens because you’re disconnected from your needs (not just because you’re doing too much)

  3. You have the answers. It might not feel like it, but underneath all the pressure and the noise of other people’s expectations, you know exactly what you need.

I’m here to create a safe space that helps you reconnect to your needs with compassion and uncover what burnout is trying to tell you.

My promise

When the noise quiets, something powerful happens: More you emerges.

I’m here for you when you’re ready.

Check out my 1:1 sessions
  • Every session is different — because you are different from day to day.

Our work together is about meeting you exactly where you are and creating a calm, supportive space for whatever wants to be explored.

Some sessions are reflective and spacious. Others are more practical or grounding. You’ll never be pushed into a specific format. Instead, we’ll follow what feels most supportive for you in the moment. You’ll leave feeling more connected to yourself, with greater clarity, ease, and self-trust.

If journaling and offline activities help you process, I can offer gentle prompts and tools. If you’d rather talk things through, we can do that. And if you want a blend of both, we’ll shape our time together accordingly.

We move at your pace, always.

While each session is guided by what’s present for you, many clients come to me while recovering from burnout, people-pleasing, or years of overachieving. Topics that often come up include:

    • Understanding your current energy — what nourishes you and what quietly drains you

    • Reconnecting with your inner voice (and untangling it from others’ expectations)

    • Creating and strengthening boundaries that actually feel sustainable

    • Cultivating self-compassion and gentler ways of caring for yourself

    • Exploring what’s blocking rest, nourishment, or ease

    • Nervous system regulation and building a sense of safety in your body

    • Clarifying values, direction, and what your version of a meaningful life looks like

  • This work may not be the right fit if you’re looking for quick fixes, rigid frameworks, or someone to push you toward productivity or performance.

It’s also not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, or medical care.

This work is best suited for those who are open to slowing down, listening inward, and gently experimenting with new ways of relating to themselves and their lives — even if that feels unfamiliar.

  • Absolutely not. This journey isn’t about blowing up your life or becoming someone new overnight. It’s so much subtler than that. It’s about peeling back the layers until you can hear yourself again.

It’s about starting with small, manageable shifts that help you feel more connected to yourself.

And that’s what I’m here to help you do.

  • Being a Professional Practitioner for Highly Sensitive People means I work with an understanding that sensitivity isn’t something to fix. It’s something to honour and work with.

Highly sensitive people tend to process deeply, feel intensely, and notice subtleties others might miss. When unsupported, this can lead to overwhelm, burnout, and chronic self-abandonment. When supported, it becomes a source of insight, creativity, empathy, and wisdom.

You don’t have to identify as highly sensitive to work with me. Many people I support simply feel burned out, overstimulated, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from years of pushing and people-pleasing. If you’re craving more ease, clarity, and self-connection, this work is likely a fit.

  • No, I’m not a therapist, and our work together isn’t therapy.

What I offer is supportive, non-clinical 1:1 work focused on burnout recovery, nervous system regulation, self-connection, and life alignment. Sessions are present and future-focused, with space for reflection, insight, and gentle integration.

If you’re currently working with a therapist, my work can complement that beautifully. And if at any point I feel therapy would be a better fit, I’ll always name that with care and honesty.

  • After I started listening in to my true needs, I suddenly started noticing butterflies - everywhere.

I took them as a sign that I was on the right path. That I was doing what I’m now meant to do.

And so, butterflies have become my symbol that represents growth, evolution and coming back to myself. And it represents that journey for so many others as well.

It’s not about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to who you’ve always been — with more softness, presence, and self-trust.
